/ Three zones, three trade-offs

Location decides your whole trip

Naama Bay

Sharks Bay

Ras Um Sid

The most connected zone. Dive centres, restaurants, and boat launches are walkable. Best for divers who want zero logistics between room and water.

Quieter than Naama, with a house reef you can enter directly. Fewer restaurants on-site but the reef access is genuinely better for early-morning dives.

The furthest from the centre and the most peaceful. Cliff-edge reef entries, almost no nightlife. Correct choice if noise is a dealbreaker.

Dive boats moored at a resort jetty in direct morning light, tanks and BCDs stacked on the dock, calm Red Sea water reflecting the sky, no people posed — operational texture

• Seasonal booking intel

April and October give you the best rooms at honest prices

August fills every beach-front property at peak rates. November brings wind that disrupts diving. The shoulder months — April and October — are when availability is real and prices reflect it.

Proximity to a dive site always outweighs star count. A four-star property 200m from a reef entry beats a five-star 4km away if you're here to dive.

Hotel sorted. Now pick your dive site.

Site-specific reef guides, operator ratings, and beach access details — everything you need after choosing where to sleep.
